Prendergast School: One of the Most Improved Schools in the Country. Sustained Improvement

The Leathersellers’ Federation of Schools is delighted to announce that Prendergast School has been identified as one of the most improved schools in the country in terms of attainment and value-added progress for disadvantaged pupils since 2011.

In addition Prendergast School has been proven to be one of the top 90 schools in England showing the greatest sustained improvement in the percentage of pupils achieving five or more A*-C GCSEs including English and Maths.

The Minister of State for Schools wrote to congratulate the Headteacher, Ms Sue Roberts and her staff, congratulating her and governors, parents and pupils.

‘It is clear that you and your staff have provided disadvantaged pupils with a good start in life and prepared them well for their futures.’

The Chair of Governors, Mr Christopher Barrow said

‘The Leathersellers’ Federation and Company are delighted by the success of Sue Roberts and her team. They recognise the skill and dedication of leadership that has brought about this sustained success. There is an award of £5000 attached to this accolade and Ms Roberts will allocate the money to ensure further progress for all.’
