GCSE results 2020
We were delighted to see our Year 11 and 10 students in school on Thursday to collect their GCSE results. We were also delighted that so many staff were present to support and congratulate the students. We recognise that these have been challenging times for our whole community and it was good to celebrate so many success stories.
Despite the difficult circumstances this year Prendergast students have once again achieved outstanding outcomes as a result of their hard work and with the support of their teachers.
This year there will be no recording or reporting measures by the Department of Education, which has been suspended for the 2019-2020 GCSE outcomes. We will not report our progress and outcomes against national measures.
There were many individual success stories. Over a quarter of all results at grade 9 or 8 and nearly half of all results were above a grade 7. There are many examples of individual success stories at GCSE for Year 11. A few examples are below:

Year 10 were also awarded their RS GCSE grades this year. Over a third of all students achieved a grade 9 or 8 and nearly two thirds achieved a grade 7 or more.
We have had very busy Post 16 enrolment days this week and are we are delighted that so many students from our school are continuing in our sixth form.
