Launch of Community Apprentice Programme
Thirteen year 10 students have been selected to participate in the 12 week Community Apprentice Programme which is run by Envision. The launch event on Wednesday 12th September was a huge success, with 4 charities pitching to the young apprentices on why they should be chosen. Team THFC (Truth, Honour, Freedom and Courtesy) chose the charity “Street Doctors” (www.streetdoctors.org) which trains young people in First Aid and also discourages them from carrying weapons. Over the next coming weeks, the team will be raising awareness throughout school and organising fundraising activities in a chance to win the title of Community Apprentice 2018!
